Timing A Vg30E

ok, Need to time my pathy, the book shows 4 timing marks {TDC,10,20,30} well my engine has 7 marks ummm, anybody know what they are?

1st mark is TDC, 7th mark is 30BTDC. 5 degrees between marks.

your doing 15deg correct?

yea, that is the intention. I recently had the motor out to do a RMS and exhaust studs, and the distributer was removed to get at the bypass hose while it was out.

so this thing should be on the 4th mark @~750rpm?

remember when they used to number the dampner? :itsallgood:

if thats what it says, I time mine @ 600rpm but I have a vg30i and I also vary my base timing based on drving....Posted Image
